Since 2008 Bettina Smith holds the position of Professor of singing at the Faculty of Performing Arts, University of Stavanger.

Bettina has also been teaching at the Grieg Academy, University of Bergen, The Franz Schubert Institute in Baden bei Wien, Austria and at Het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
